For Sita, Babcia, Dziadziu, and Jhidu.

Peace!

I write for the screen, teach English and facilitate writing workshops in high schools, DJ, and run events for building creative community. I grew up in and live on the Darug lands of South West Sydney.

My films have screened in Palm Springs International Short Fest, CinefestOZ, Flickerfest, and Lebanese Film Festival Australia. ‘Dependent’ was nominated for the 2026 AACTA Award for Best Short Film and won the 2025 Panavision Film of the Year Award at LFFAU. My script for the upcoming short film ‘Nothing, Number 2’ was nominated for Most Outstanding Short Screenplay at the 2026 Australian Writers Guild Awards.

I’m a graduate of the Master of Screenwriting program at the Australian Film Television and Radio School and a mentee of Pieter Aquilia and Gabrielle Kelly. Currently I’m in development on three feature film projects with my collaborators Veniamin Gialouris, Julian Maroun, and Chloe de Brito, who directed the POC for our feature ‘He's Not Here مَنّو هَوْن’ in early 2026.

Outside of film, I was selected by Augusta Supple in 2026 to co-write an original play for The Parramatta Play Project, which completed its first phase with an industry reading. In 2025, I exhibited my comic book ‘Young Man’, illustrated by Ethan Scotney and published by Magni Studio, at Kinokuniya’s Wedge Gallery; won the Red Bull stage at the 2025 YourShot DJ competition; and joined the judging team for the Dr Charles Malik Literary Awards, presented by the World Lebanese Cultural Union.

I love dancing, dinosaurs, and Ms Lauryn Hill. And Emma Elias for this photo and all her future films.
